Lawyers Diary Pro
MCP guide

Planned read-only access to your diary from Claude and ChatGPT, with your permission.

What is available today?

Private test proof
Password sign-in, explicit consent, profile and single-case reads, permission checks, refresh rotation and replay handling have been tested with synthetic accounts.
Public connection
Not available. Production routes, persistent authorization storage and keys, lifecycle controls and real-host compatibility still need to be completed and verified.
Later capabilities
Case search, hearing history, optional notes and separately approved stored court orders are not part of the current working proof.

Passing automated tests does not establish that a public connection is ready. Compatibility with the actual Claude and ChatGPT products remains unverified.

Connect Claude after release

These are preparation steps, not an active setup procedure. Wait for an official connector address and release instructions from Lawyers Diary Pro.

  1. Confirm access first

The planned eligibility is an active paid Lawyers Diary Pro tier, including complimentary or manually assigned paid access. Free trials are excluded. Your workspace owner must enable external AI access; assistants need the owner's separate permission and retain their existing case restrictions.

  2. Use the official server address

In Claude, open Customize > Connectors and choose the option to add a custom connector. Name it Lawyers Diary Pro and use only the published MCP address. Team or Enterprise users may need an organization administrator to add it first.

  3. Sign in individually

Follow the released OAuth sign-in flow on the verified Lawyers Diary Pro sign-in page. Do not paste your password, app token or a shared administrator credential into Claude. Use only the OAuth client configuration specified in the release instructions.

  4. Review consent

Check the account, workspace and requested permissions before approving. Notes and court orders are planned as separate opt-ins, not automatic additions to a basic connection. Decline any unexpected access request.

  5. Try a narrow request

Enable the connector for the conversation. Start with your connected profile or a known permitted case. Case search and document analysis should not be assumed available unless the release guide explicitly lists them.

Claude settings and availability can change.

Check your account's current connector options and organization rules in Claude's official remote MCP guide. That general capability does not mean the Lawyers Diary Pro connector is live.

03

A narrow, read-only connection

MCP means Model Context Protocol: a way for an AI application to request information through defined tools. It is not unrestricted access to your account or database.

Your existing access still applies

The intended connection is tied to one signed-in person and workspace. Assistants must not gain access to unassigned cases. MCP is planned as a separate channel, without consuming or replacing an app device seat.

No changes to your diary

The approved scope excludes creating, editing or deleting records, payments and invoices, administration, client directories and general attachments. It also excludes court refreshes and fetching missing PDFs.

Documents need separate approval

Stored court-order access is not implemented yet. The planned safeguard requires owner approval for each document and content version; new or replaced content must not inherit an earlier approval.

Read-only does not mean risk-free

Case titles and other permitted details may be confidential. Disclosed content reaches the connected AI provider and is subject to that provider's terms and data controls. Check your professional confidentiality obligations before sharing.

Future disconnection must stop subsequent access, but cannot erase content already included in a conversation. Account-level connection management is not available yet; do not assume disabling a conversation toggle revokes a backend authorization.

04

Before you connect

Can I deploy the backend now and test it in Claude?

Not with the current MCP implementation. Its routes exist only in a test harness, not the deployed API. A separately runnable, isolated HTTPS host with synthetic data and working OAuth is needed for an initial Claude test. Production enablement needs additional security and operational verification.

Can Claude connect to my localhost test run?

The current automated harness does not open a listening server. Claude's remote connectors also connect from Anthropic's infrastructure, not from your local browser. A reachable HTTPS endpoint is required; do not expose a production-configured local API through a tunnel.

What could I ask in an initial test?

Use synthetic data only. Try “Show my connected profile” or “Show the permitted case with ID [test case ID].” The current proof has only profile and single-case tools. It cannot list all cases, search hearings or analyze an order PDF.

Will it also work with ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is a planned target, not a verified integration today. Its account requirements, client configuration and setup must be tested separately. A successful Claude connection does not establish ChatGPT compatibility.

Should I share a token or password with support?

No. Report the provider, time of the issue and a non-sensitive error message. Never send passwords, access or refresh tokens, authorization codes, or confidential case content.
